Clyde set to have a full strength side this weekend

Clyde are set to have a full strength side for their trip to Love Street this Saturday. Last weekend saw Gary Arbuckle, Scott Wilson and Eddie Malone all miss out through a variety of reasons. Ex-Celtic youngster Arbuckle, was suffering from a pelvic injury, Wilson from a hamstring injury and Malone was suspended.

Stuart Balmer is still not fully match fit and Jimmy Gibson is a slight doubt, but apart from those two, the squad is ready for the challenge of taking on 3rd place St Mirren. Youngster Kevin Bradley, who was impressive as a substitute against Queen of the South, could be set to drop out of the squad.

A victory would open up a 7 point gap over the Saints and with Falkirk on Challenge Cup duty, would also give the Bully Wee a 3 point lead over the Bairns.

Saints will be without Mixu Paatelainen and have drawn their last two games, with the big Finn missing. Both teams have superb defensive records, with Clyde only conceding 6 goals in 12 games.

Ex-Clyde players on the opposition team, are John Baird and Andy Millen. Youngster Baird left Clyde last Christmas and after training "for free" with St Mirren until the summer, he was snapped up on a longer term contract and has netted a few goals this season.

Millen is at the other end of the age scale but is still one of the fittest players in the league. Now playing at centrehalf, the Saints Assistant Manager is a key part in the tight unit that is the St Mirren defence. Indeed, they haven't yet conceded a goal against the two teams above them, Falkirk and Clyde, in three games.

The game is a 3 o'clock kickoff at Love Street, Paisley. Get along and support the Bully Wee in their biggest game of the season so far.
