Clyde have added 16-year-old midfielder Kevin Higgins to their squad for the trip to the Strathclyde Homes Stadium.
A hamstring problem keeps om-loan Partick Thistle defender Willie Kinniburgh sidelined, while midfielder Steven Howarth is also out.
Dumbarton manager Jim Chapman said: "I tried a few things at the weekend with positional changes to make us more of an attacking side and it never worked.
"I am not sure why, but I am unlikely to try them again in this game.
"Clyde will come here full of confidence after their 3-0 win over Stenhousemuir and we cannot afford to drop any more points as we are relying on other people doing us favours already."
Clyde director of football Neil Watt: "We were able to travel to Ochilview and just play football because we know where we will be playing next season.
"We passed the ball about really well, scored some great goals and it will be a case of more of the same at Dumbarton.
"Hopefully, we will get the same response and performance from the players."
