Valois cleared to play

The necessary clearance has came through for ex-Hearts player, Jean Louis Valois, to play for Clyde. In an arrangement similar to Karim Kerkar's deal at the club, Valois will play for Clyde until another club comes in with an offer, or until Clyde can afford to offer him a longer term deal.

Valois was due to play in the opening game of the season against Partick Thistle, but the French FA didn't give the necessary clearance in time for him to play. The Frenchman then went on trial to Leeds United, who didn't feel he was good enough for the English 1st division, so he returned to Clyde.

Valois is happy to live in Scotland but after playing, and scoring, in last night's Challenge Cup win over Stranraer, it was clear that he'll need to improve his match fitness, if he's going to attract a move to a bigger team.

Meanwhile, Clyde will hope to get a few good performances from the left winger, who is good at running at defenders, and takes a good free kick and if he moves on, then Clyde will at least have seen two naturally gifted players this season, in Kerkar and Valois.
