Queen`s Park are on course to secure a play-off place after winning 2-0 at struggling Clyde.

The victory, their first away from home for four games, moves them into the final play-off place at the expense of Stranraer.

Top scorer Jamie Longworth put the visitors ahead in the 14th minute, meeting Martin McBride`s inswinging corner to head home for his ninth goal of the season.

Clyde nearly levelled seven minutes later, but John Stewart could only head over from close range following good work from Graham Girvan.

The hosts also went close to equalising in the 26th minute, Ross McMillan`s header forcing a good save from Queen`s Park goalkeeper Adam Strain following Jamie McCluskey`s dangerous outswinging cross.

Queen`s Park doubled their lead on 64 minutes, courtesy of McBride, who found the bottom corner with an impressive strike from outside the box to make the game safe.
