Clyde 1-2 East Stirling- Match Report

Wright brace keeps Shire on top

Max Wright netted twice as East Stirling won 2-1 at Clyde to stretch their lead at the top of League Two to two points.

Clyde almost took the lead on 20 minutes when Scott Ferguson headed against the post from six yards. He went close again moments later with a rasping drive.

But East Stirling struck a crucial blow just after the break. Chris Townsley was the provider as Wright found the top corner from six yards.

John Sweeney's right-footed strike appeared to have given Clyde a share of the spoils 15 minutes from time.

However, the league leaders went straight down the other end and grabbed the winner through Wright's second of the afternoon from close range.
