Rodgers and out for Clyde

Andrew Rodgers netted twice as Peterhead climbed to the top of the Scottish League Two table with a 3-1 win over Clyde.


The visitors broke the deadlock in the ninth minute when Rodgers fired in from close range but their lead didn't last long.


Clyde were back on level terms two minutes later when Scott Ferguson steered the ball past Graeme Smith from the middle of the area.


The Blue Toon edged in front once more in the 13th minute when Rodgers nodded in from close range.


Rodgers came close to completing his hat-trick in the 42nd minute when he clattered the bar.


Peterhead sealed all three points in the 66th minute when Reece Donaldson scored his first goal for the club, heading the ball beyond Smith from six yards.
