City clinch crucial point

Elgin kept their play-off ambitions alive by snatching a late point from a 1-1 draw with Clyde.

The hosts came close to opening the scoring after just three minutes, but Mark Nicholson's header was well saved by Nicholas Feely.

Daniel Moore was next to test Feely but he too was denied by another fine save.

Against the run of play the Bully Wee took the lead eight minutes before the interval, Jamie Pollock's stunning 25-yard drive leaving Alexander Clark with no chance.

Paul Millar came close to an equaliser five minutes after the restart, but Feely produced a flying save to keep it out.

And Feely made yet another fine stop, tipping Archibald McPhee's effort round the post before the Black and Whites' pressure finally paid off.

Barry Wilson then produced a sumptuous free-kick from the edge of the box to leave Feely with no chance and snatch a point in the final minute.
