No goals in battle of Balmoor

Peterhead and Clyde battled out a 0-0 draw in an ill-tempered affair at the Balmoor Stadium.

A total of seven players saw yellows and Clyde's Paul Hay picked up a second booking as he was dismissed late on.

The first booking went to The Blue Toon's Bryan Deasley in the ninth minute for unsporting behaviour, setting the tone of the match.

Raymond Jellema showed sharp reactions in the Peterhead goal to keep out Liam Cusack's stinging drive on 20 minutes.

The second half saw the defenders on top as both teams cancelled each other out. The best chance fell to the home side's Deasley with 10 minutes remaining but his well-struck shot just evaded the target.

Hay saw red with seven minutes remaining but neither side could find the breakthrough in the closing stages.
